Hello!

I am an artist and educator based in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in Sonora, California. As an artist, my work explores the human-nature relationship and its oscillation between harmony and dissonance. I am interested in how we view ourselves as separate from or connected with the natural world. I work with a variety of 2D, 3D, and digital media.

As an educator, my practice prioritizes creative investigation, social-emotional learning, cultural responsiveness and an awareness of art's role in society. A complete list of my 10+ years of teaching experience in K-12 classrooms, museums, and school gardens can be found here.

Currently, I teach the advanced art courses at a high school in rural Tuolumne, California. I have a Master's degree in Art Education with The Art of Education University. Prior to earning my California Teaching Credential, I studied Studio Art and Art Education at San Francisco State University. For examples of my instructional design and graduate work, see here.

I love to collaborate with other artists and educators. If you're interested, please reach out!
